As A Matter of Faith We Believe...
1. Jesus Christ is the one and only sacrifice for our sins and he arose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-8; John 3:16).
2. The Bible is the inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119:10).
3. Every person has worth, but all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), and therefore needs salvation (Romans 6:23).
4. Forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust and obey Christ as Lord and Savior (John 3:16; Acts 2:36, Hebrews 5:8-9).
5. Those willing to obey the gospel of Christ (Romans 1:14-16; 10:17) should repent of sin, confess their faith in Jesus, and be baptized into Christ for forgiveness of sins (Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38).
6. The church is the Body of Christ on earth, is empowered by the Holy Spirit and exists to save the lost and edify the saved (Ephesians 4:1-16).
7. As the church of Christ on earth, and following the New Testament scriptures we worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24) each Lord’s Day, by singing, praying, giving as we have prospered, teaching God’s word, partaking of the Lord’s Supper and fellowshipping with one another (Acts 2:42; Eph. 5:19; 1 Cor. 16:1-
2; Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 11:23-30).
8. Jesus Christ will one day return to take God’s children to be with him forever, Jn. 14:1-4, 1Thess. 4:13-18).
Salvation
In churches of Christ our desire is to be Christian, no more, no less! As such we desire the same for all people, and for you. As we follow the New Testament scriptures we find that every person who became a Christian did the following: They all:
- HEARD the Gospel...Acts 15:7
- BELIEVED the Gospel… Mark 16:16
- REPENTED of their sins...Acts 2:38
- CONFESSED faith in Jesus…. Rom. 10:9-10
- And were BAPTIZED for the remission of sins and RECEIVED the Holy Spirit, Acts 2:38.
They were added to the church, Acts 2:47. Our prayer is that you allow us to discuss with you personally God’s way of salvation for your life.
